Problem Statement-
The client approached us with an initial requirement for mechanical workstations, a display board, and a heavy-duty storage rack to support their factory operations. They required the industrial furniture for their factory in Kolkata. The client is in partnership with
To understand the scope better, the client first shared details of the equipment used in their operations. Based on this, we provided a series of follow-up questions to gather insights on their specific configuration and functional needs. Through this exchange, it became clear that the workstations were intended for component assembly and testing operations, particularly involving hydraulic and mechanical sub-assemblies.
The workstations were required to handle a load capacity of up to 300 kg, accommodating heavy components during the assembly process. The operations were to be conducted in a standing position, so ergonomics played a key role in the design. In addition to the mechanical structure, the client emphasized the need for integrated lighting and power supply provisions, ensuring that technicians had convenient access to essential utilities at the workstation.
For their display board requirement, the client opted for a freestanding pegboard mounted on a stand, rather than a wall-mounted solution. They specified dimensions of 900 mm (W) x 1200 mm (H) with an adjustable angle, allowing better visibility and ease of use during shift operations. The board was to be fitted with a range of accessories, including Bin strip, Spanner tray, Allen key holder, Screwdriver holder, Multipurpose hooks. These accessories were selected to enhance tool organization and accessibility, contributing to a more efficient and tidy workspace.
Additionally, the client required a mobile cabinet to be used on the factory floor. This would allow for flexible movement and convenient storage of tools and components during various tasks.
Through this comprehensive solution — combining robust workstations, a modular display board, a heavy-duty rack system, and mobile storage — we were able to address the client’s operational needs with a well-integrated and ergonomic setup tailored to their workflow.

Scitec Workstation – Tailored for Hydraulic & Mechanical Sub-Assembly Operations (5 Qty)
The Scitec Series Workstation, was configured to support hydraulic assembly and mechanical sub-component integration. With a load capacity ranging between 360 kg to 454 kg UDL, it was ideally suited for handling large and heavy components typically involved in road-rail vehicle manufacturing, such as Hydraulic power units and actuator assemblies, Mechanical couplers, brackets, and structural subframes, Wheelset components and drive mechanisms, Electrical control enclosures and mounting units
To meet these application demands:
- A GI-cladded worktop with rubber mat was chosen for its durability and resistance to wear, oil, and impact during heavy assembly.
- Two under-worktop hanging drawers provided accessible storage for tools like torque wrenches, socket sets, O-ring kits, and hydraulic fitting spanners.
- A Link Uprighter system integrated with a horizontal power rail enabled technicians to operate power tools, hydraulic test kits, or diagnostics equipment safely and efficiently.
- An undershelf tasklight offered clear visibility during fine-tuning and inspection tasks—especially during the installation of hydraulic lines or electrical connectors.
- An adjustable shelf mounted on the uprighter provided overhead storage for frequently accessed components, small kits, manuals, or test instruments—keeping the work surface clear and enhancing operational flow during intensive sub-assembly tasks.
To maintain organization during assembly, the integrated pegboard was configured with:
- Bin strips for storing fasteners, hose fittings, and clamps
- Spanner trays, screwdriver holders, and hooks to mount tools such as adjustable wrenches, Allen keys, pipe wrenches, crimpers, and screwdrivers
- A marker board, mounted on the pegboard, provided a space to write instructions, SOPs, or checklist updates in real-time during operations
Link Workstand – Tool Accessibility at Auxiliary Assembly Points
(2 Qty)
To enhance tool accessibility in adjacent zones—especially where technicians perform repetitive sub-assembly or installation tasks—a Link Workstand was configured with dual pegboards. Unlike traditional visual boards, this setup was specifically designed to hold basic hand tools and frequently used assembly items that can be shared between workstations.
Accessories included:
- Bin strips for small hydraulic connectors or cable ties
- Spanner trays, Allen key holders, and screwdriver holders to mount commonly used hand tools for tightening, fitting, and adjustments
- Hooks to hang pliers, hammers, mallets, and measurement tapes
This configuration ensures that the tools remain within easy reach, reducing downtime during transitions between tasks and maintaining an uncluttered main workstation.
Mobile Cabinet – Flexible Tool Storage on the Move
(1 Qty)
To provide technicians with mobile access to essential tools and consumables during installation or testing phases across the production floor, a standard five-drawer mobile cabinet with central locking was supplied. This mobile unit is particularly useful when technicians work across different vehicle sections or work zones.
Typical contents include:
- Hydraulic seal kits, O-ring boxes, and test gauges
- Wire strippers, multimeters, and basic power tools
- Back-up tools for quick repairs or adjustments during final testing
